 DANA CORPORATION (DESIGN/BUILD): Since the late 1970's, Ramsons has
constructed numerous additions and renovations to Jonesboro
Arkansas' Spicer Transmission Division of the Dana Corporation.
The initial construction was in 1979 in which Ramsons successfully
completed the 144,000 square foot facility using
fully insulated tilt-up panels cast exposed aggregate face down
(first time in history this method was used).
Construction was completed in only eight months at a cost of
$2,955,119. Because of Ramsons innovative construction methods,
Ramsons was awarded the Prestigious Arkansas Ready Mix Excellence in
Concrete Award. Since 1979, Dana has hired Ramsons to perform minor
additions such as pits and loading docks. The company was hired in
1986
to complete the $1,515,414 "East" addition and again in 1999 to
complete the $1,098,060 office addition.
